How to tie your karate belt
By yourself!
- Always keep the belt even
- Remember: over bellybutton, crisscross behind, then return to front
- Right over left (the student’s right side) and tuck through both
- Left over right (the student’s left side) and tuck through one
- Pull tight so it stays on during class
- Do not play with, step on, or wash the belt
- Carry the belt with the pants and top inside nice bag—not a plastic bag
