Crowning the best martial arts style for fitness is almost an impossible task. There are so many different forms of martial arts that have been practiced for thousands of years, and martial arts has changed millions of lives. We’re going to go through the most effective martial arts that we offer and try to settle this long-held debate. Let’s do it!
1. Martial Arts
We offer a general adult martial arts class that is kind of a little bit of everything – and all of our students love it. You’ll learn how to throw kicks and punches, have a blast with like-minded people, and break quite a sweat too. We start with conditioning, move to new skills and drills, and finish by cooling down and recapping.
You will get sweaty in this class- so if you’re just starting to explore martial arts and looking for the best martial arts style for fitness, our Adult Martial Arts class could be the perfect fit for you.
2. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) is a slightly different form of martial art, practiced around the world. A BJJ student will learn more moves on the ground, leveraging their body through physics and motion to strategically fight an attacker that may be bigger and stronger than they are.
BJJ for women’s self-defence is popular as well. This martial art will work your core a lot due to the nature of the groundwork and leveraging moves! All who desire shredded abs, attend a BJJ class -might be the best martial arts style for fitness for you.
3. Muay Thai and Krav Maga
Muay Thai and Krav Maga will both take your fitness regimen to the next level. Our Muay Thai classes are excellent for competitive fighters, as there are plenty of opportunities to compete. Lots of punching and kicking and using your elbows and knees to attack as well.
Krav Maga teaches effective and practical self-defence in a boot camp style, as this form of martial arts was originally developed in the Israeli army for the Israeli soldiers. Both forms promise a killer physique and excellent self-defence training – the best karate fitness class is dependent on if you want to compete and use elbows and knees, or if you want to focus more on real-life self-defence applications.
4. The Verdict
